The river remembers.
That idea has been living in my head for years.
Long before there was a book. Long before there was a series. Long before Androscoggin After Dark had a name.
It began with a place.
If you’ve ever spent time in Northern New Hampshire, you know what I mean. There is something different about the North Country. The mountains feel older. The woods feel deeper. The rivers seem to carry stories of their own.
The Androscoggin River has always fascinated me.
It has witnessed generations come and go. It has seen mill towns rise and struggle. It has carved its way through communities where everyone knows everyone—or at least thinks they do.
- Places like that hold stories.
- Some are worth remembering.
- Some are worth forgetting.
- And some refuse to stay buried.
Those ideas became the foundation for Androscoggin After Dark, a romantic suspense series rooted in the landscapes, history, and atmosphere of the North Country I call home.
Today, I’m thrilled to share that Book One, When the River Freezes, is officially available.

The story begins with a body in the ice, an old mystery that never truly disappeared, and a woman forced to confront the past she thought she left behind. Along the way, there are secrets, danger, family ties, unexpected romance, and a river that seems determined to give up what others would rather keep hidden.
This series is fictional, but readers familiar with Northern New Hampshire may recognize pieces of the world that inspired it: winding rivers, forgotten roads, small-town rumors, old mills, deep forests, and the feeling that history is never quite finished with us.
As this site grows, I’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes notes, book updates, inspiration from the North Country, and occasional glimpses into the stories behind the stories.
Think of this as a place to pull up a chair by the river and stay awhile.
The water has a few more secrets left to tell.
Welcome to the riverbank.
