Meet Erica

Erica R. Buteau is a New Hampshire author, blogger, and storyteller whose work is deeply rooted in the landscapes, history, and communities of the North Country.

Growing up among rivers, forests, mill towns, and mountain roads, Erica developed a lifelong fascination with the stories hidden beneath the surface of seemingly quiet places. Those influences became the foundation for Androscoggin After Dark, a romantic suspense series inspired by the rugged beauty and enduring mysteries of Northern New Hampshire.

Her fiction blends suspense, romance, family secrets, and small-town intrigue with a strong sense of place. The rivers, forests, and back roads that shape her stories are inspired by the region she calls home, where history is never far away and every town has a story worth telling.

When she’s not writing, Erica can usually be found working on her family homestead, caring for chickens and bees, exploring the woods, or photographing life in the North Country. She is also a longtime blogger and freelance writer whose work has reached readers across a wide range of industries and interests.

When the River Freezes is the first novel in the Androscoggin After Dark series.
