Sometimes a book ends and you are ready to move on. Sometimes you want to stay in the neighborhood for a little longer.

You might want to look at the landscape, revisit the reading order, or find something small to share with the friend who keeps asking what you are reading. The extras around Androscoggin After Dark are there for those moments. You can spend five minutes with them or lose track of a quiet afternoon.
Here are five places to begin.
Find the shape of the story world
The Locations & Inspiration page includes an illustrated story-world map. Think of it as an invitation to explore the books’ geography, rather than a substitute for a current road map. The real North Country and the fictional world have a relationship, but they are not interchangeable.
You can also browse the character page when you want another introduction to the people who inhabit these stories. If you are sensitive to spoilers, save character material until you have started the series and can decide how much you want to know.
Look at the river without a plot to follow
The river photographs offer a different pace. There is no clue to solve before you are allowed to enjoy a reflection or a change in light. The Stay by the River page brings those images together with optional background sound.
The soundscape starts when you choose to play it. Try it while reading, while making a cup of something warm, or during the small gap between finishing one task and beginning another. It is a companion to the photographs, not a recording you need to study.
Take the long way back
The free Room 12 Route Card is another small piece of the reading experience. It brings together fictional mystery stops and real North Country inspiration. Enjoy it as a reader extra; check current conditions and access separately before planning any real outing.
Keep the order close
If you are introducing a friend to the books, send the reading-order page along with your recommendation. It answers the practical question that often follows a good series recommendation: which one comes first?
You can tell a friend what you liked without telling them what happens. “Start with winter” is a perfectly good beginning.
Leave the door open
The Riverbank List is the place for book updates and extras when you want them in your inbox. The signup link is available on the website, and subscribing is a separate choice from buying a book.
There is no required route through any of this. Pick the piece that catches your attention. The next chapter will wait while you look around.
